Immediate opportunity! Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary & Secondary Schools – Norwich
Are you a recent graduate considering a career in education? Perhaps you’re exploring routes into teaching, educational psychology, SEND support, youth work or pastoral care and want to gain valuable school-based experience. At 4myschools, we are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to support both primary and secondary schools across Norwich on a flexible supply basis, with immediate starts available. This opportunity is ideal for university graduates from any degree discipline who are interested in developing a career within education. We also welcome applications from individuals looking for a career change who have gained experience through voluntary work, community projects, youth organisations, coaching, mentoring, caring responsibilities or personal experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, confidence and wellbeing. Duties may include working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, providing one-to-one support, assisting small intervention groups, supporting pupils with SEND, helping students remain engaged during lessons, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment. Depending on the school and assignment, you may support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs or moderate learning difficulties. You will gain exposure to a variety of classroom settings across both primary and secondary education, making this an excellent stepping stone into teacher training, educational psychology, SEND specialisms or other education-related careers. The schools we work with are committed to creating supportive, inclusive and aspirational learning environments where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff teams are collaborative, nurturing and dedicated to helping children and young people develop both academically and personally. Graduate Teaching Assistants are valued members of the school community and receive guidance and support while building their experience within education.
