Current opening! KS1 Primary Supply Teacher – Norwich

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable KS1 Primary Supply Teachers to work with a range of welcoming primary schools across Norwich. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their week, feels confident stepping into different classrooms, and is committed to delivering high‑quality teaching to children in Year 1 and Year 2. You will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, following school planning where provided, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the day. Our partner schools value teachers who bring enthusiasm, strong classroom management, and a nurturing approach to learning. You should feel comfortable building quick rapport with pupils and staff, adapting to new settings, and maintaining a calm and professional presence. In return, you will benefit from competitive daily rates, flexible working patterns that suit your lifestyle, and the chance to work within a variety of friendly and supportive school communities in the Norwich area. If you are a passionate KS1 teacher looking for flexible and rewarding supply work, we would be delighted to hear from you.

  • Contract duration: Temporary (Short Term)
  • Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
  • Age groups: Key Stage 1

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with solid experience in Key Stage 1, someone who understands the developmental needs of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils and can quickly build rapport with young learners. They should be confident delivering engaging lessons, whether following the school’s planning or creating short‑notice activities that keep children motivated and on track. A calm, nurturing approach is essential, as is the ability to manage behaviour positively and consistently in unfamiliar settings. They would be someone who genuinely enjoys the variety that supply work brings — moving between different schools, adapting to new routines, and working with a wide range of staff teams. Reliability is key, along with strong communication skills and a professional attitude. A good supply teacher is organised, punctual, and able to slot into a classroom with minimal disruption, maintaining high standards of teaching and safeguarding at all times. This role suits a teacher who values flexibility, perhaps someone balancing other commitments, returning to teaching, or simply preferring the freedom of supply over a permanent post. Above all, the ideal candidate is enthusiastic, child‑centred, and committed to making a positive impact wherever they go.
