This supply role supports a group of primary schools serving the Southminster area, many of which are smaller village settings with a strong sense of community. KS2 classrooms are typically well established, with clear routines that help visiting teachers maintain consistency across the school day. Staff teams are approachable and used to working with supply teachers, offering guidance where needed to ensure pupils remain settled and focused. The work fits into normal school hours and provides regular opportunities for day‑to‑day cover.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

This position would suit a KS2 teacher who is confident delivering learning across Years 3 to 6 using prepared lesson plans. You should be comfortable managing behaviour in line with existing school policies and able to adapt your approach to different classes. A steady, organised teaching style will support pupils’ progress and help maintain positive classroom environments. Teachers who value flexibility and variety often find this role particularly rewarding.
