Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for flexible work within local primary schools? At 4myschools, we are recruiting enthusiastic LSAs to support pupils across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools throughout the Basildon area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Early Years Practitioners, or individuals with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are looking for rewarding and flexible work. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers to provide one-to-one support, assist small groups of pupils with targeted interventions, and support whole-class learning activities. You may work with children who have additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), or learning difficulties. Responsibilities will include encouraging positive behaviour, promoting pupil engagement, adapting learning resources to meet individual needs, supporting literacy and numeracy development, and helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, youth work, care, or support setting and possess a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed. Experience supporting children with SEND is highly desirable, although not essential for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and transferable skills. Applicants must hold a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths. Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability and a proactive approach are essential. Candidates should be available during school hours and be able to travel reliably to schools across Basildon and the surrounding areas, with access to their own transport being advantageous.
