As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, assist pupils with their learning across the primary curriculum, and provide individual or small group support where needed. Responsibilities can include preparing classroom resources, supporting behaviour management strategies, supervising activities, fostering positive relationships with pupils and contributing to a safe, nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children within a school, childcare, youth work, coaching or similar setting. A patient, caring and adaptable approach is essential, along with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young learners. Applicants must hold a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths. Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) would be advantageous, although not essential. Due to the nature of supply work and travelling between schools, access to your own transport is desirable. Candidates should be available for part-time supply work during school hours, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, with flexibility to accept assignments as and when they become available. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is desirable, although guidance can be provided if required. At 4myschools, we believe supply should work around your life, not the other way around.
