Immediate opportunity! Secondary Cover Supervisor – Thetford
We are seeking experienced Secondary Cover Supervisors for a number of schools across Norfolk. Cover Supervisor duties include managing classroom behaviour, supervising pre-set work, and ensuring students stay on task during the regular teacher’s absence. Key responsibilities also involve assisting students with their work, handling minor issues or emergencies, and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour to the absent teacher. A Cover Supervisor’s role is to maintain a productive and safe learning environment and ensure the continuity of lessons, without planning or delivering new content.

- Contract Type: Supply – Hours: 8:30 – 15:30

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate should be motivated and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will be someone who combines strong educational skills with emotional intelligence, a love of learning, and a deep commitment to child development. While no formal teaching qualification is always mandatory for a secondary Cover Supervisor, a strong educational background is preferred, typically including at least GCSEs in English and Maths. This is an ideal role for graduates looking to gain experience and work in schools.
