New opportunity! Secondary Cover Supervisor – Harleston

Looking for a role that offers flexibility, variety and the chance to make a real impact in local schools? We are seeking confident, adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support a network of secondary schools throughout the Harleston area from September. With opportunities available from one to five days per week, this role is ideal for those looking to gain classroom experience while enjoying the freedom to choose when they work.

• Contract duration: Temporary (Short Term)
• Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
• Age groups: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, professional and adaptable individual who enjoys working with young people and can quickly establish a positive presence within the classroom. You may be a graduate considering a career in teaching, an aspiring teacher looking to gain hands-on school experience, an experienced Teaching Assistant ready for a new challenge, or someone with a background in youth work, coaching or education support. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, strong classroom management abilities and the confidence to lead lessons using pre-prepared materials. You will be reliable, proactive and able to build positive relationships with both students and school staff while maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement. Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable, but a positive attitude, flexibility and a genuine passion for supporting young people’s learning and development are equally important.
