New opening! Secondary Daily Supply Teacher – Fakenham
Are you a talented and adaptable Secondary Teacher looking for a teaching role that offers flexibility, variety and the opportunity to work within a range of welcoming schools across North West Norfolk? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic General Cover Teachers to support secondary schools throughout King’s Lynn, Downham Market, Hunstanton, Dersingham, Swaffham, Fakenham and the surrounding villages. This rewarding opportunity is perfect for teachers who enjoy working with young people, embracing new challenges and experiencing different school environments. Whether your specialist subject is English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, PE, Technology, Languages, Creative Arts or another curriculum area, we are seeking confident educators who can step into classrooms and provide high-quality learning experiences across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. North West Norfolk is home to a diverse and vibrant collection of secondary schools, ranging from large academies and thriving market-town schools to smaller community-focused settings. Each school offers its own distinct culture, ethos and student community, creating a fantastic opportunity for teachers to broaden their experience while making a meaningful contribution to local education. As a General Cover Teacher, you will enjoy a role that offers genuine flexibility and variety. Rather than being tied to a single setting, you will have the opportunity to work across a number of schools, experiencing different classrooms, meeting new colleagues and helping students continue their educational journey whenever teaching staff are unavailable. From daily supply assignments and pre-arranged bookings to medium and long-term placements, there are opportunities available to suit a range of career goals and personal commitments. Schools throughout North West Norfolk depend on professional and reliable cover teachers to ensure learning remains consistent and students stay engaged. You will play a key role in supporting schools by supervising lessons, delivering pre-prepared learning activities and maintaining positive classroom environments where students can continue to make progress. Your ability to quickly establish expectations, build rapport and adapt to new surroundings will be highly valued. One of the greatest benefits of this role is the variety it offers. You could find yourself supporting a busy secondary academy in King’s Lynn one day, delivering lessons in a market-town school near Downham Market the next, before working within a coastal community near Hunstanton later in the week. Every assignment brings fresh experiences, new challenges and opportunities to further develop your teaching expertise. Successful candidates will be confident managing classrooms, maintaining positive behaviour and encouraging students to remain focused on their learning. You will possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to quickly integrate into different school communities, working collaboratively with teaching staff and leadership teams. Schools value teachers who can bring enthusiasm, professionalism and a calm, positive presence into the classroom regardless of the subject being covered. This role is particularly attractive to experienced teachers looking for greater flexibility and a healthier work-life balance, Early Career Teachers wishing to gain exposure to a variety of school settings, and educators returning to teaching who are seeking an enjoyable route back into the profession. It is also an excellent opportunity for those looking to expand their professional network and gain first-hand experience of schools across the region, often leading to repeat bookings, long-term placements and even permanent employment opportunities. Working across multiple schools allows you to develop a broad understanding of different teaching approaches, behaviour management strategies and curriculum delivery methods. Many teachers find supply work to be one of the most rewarding ways to build confidence, enhance their skills and discover the schools and environments where they thrive most. In return, we offer competitive rates of pay, flexible working arrangements, ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant and access to a wide range of opportunities throughout North West Norfolk. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with both our schools and teachers, ensuring we match talented education professionals with assignments that suit their preferences, strengths and career aspirations. This is far more than a classroom cover role. It is an opportunity to inspire students, support schools when they need it most and make a lasting positive impact on young people’s education. Every placement provides the chance to contribute to a new school community, share your expertise and help students achieve their potential. If you hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are looking for flexible, rewarding teaching opportunities across North West Norfolk, we would love to hear from you. Whether you are available for daily supply work, regular weekly bookings or longer-term assignments, we have a variety of opportunities available throughout the academic year. Join our growing network of education professionals and discover a fulfilling teaching career supporting secondary schools across King’s Lynn, Downham Market, Hunstanton, Swaffham, Fakenham and the wider North West Norfolk region.
