As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across your subject specialism or provide general cover across the secondary curriculum where required. You will be responsible for following lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, and ensuring students remain focused and on task throughout lessons. Depending on the nature of the assignment, you may also be required to assess student understanding, provide feedback on completed work, and contribute to the wider school community. Opportunities are available for daily supply, short-term cover, and longer-term placements, allowing you to choose the type of work that best suits your lifestyle and career goals.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

he ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, alongside a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths. Applicants should have recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools and demonstrate strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to different school environments. We welcome applications from teachers of all subject specialisms and those with experience supporting students with varying educational needs. Candidates should be available to work between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time, whether on a full-time or part-time basis. Due to travel between schools across the local area, access to reliable transport is highly desirable.
