Secondary Supply Teacher (QTS) – Norwich & Surrounding Areas Location: Norwich and surrounding areas Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Contract: Flexible Daily Supply, Short-Term and Long-Term Opportunities Pay: Competitive daily rates At 4myschools, we are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to work across a variety of secondary schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to teach across a range of subjects, covering planned and unplanned teacher absences while ensuring continuity of learning for students. Whether your specialism is English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, PE, Technology, Arts, or another secondary subject, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards within the classroom. Responsibilities include delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, supporting student engagement and progress, maintaining accurate records when required, and following school policies and safeguarding procedures. Opportunities are available on a daily, short-term, and long-term basis, making this an ideal role for teachers seeking flexibility whilst continuing to make a positive impact within education.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English. Applications are welcomed from experienced secondary teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and professionals with strong curriculum knowledge within a secondary subject area. You will be confident delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, able to adapt quickly to different school environments, and possess excellent classroom management and communication skills. Candidates with experience supporting students with additional learning needs, SEND, or varying abilities will be highly regarded. You should be reliable, professional, and passionate about helping students achieve their potential. Due to the variety of schools across Norwich and the surrounding areas, access to your own transport or the ability to travel independently is highly desirable. Availability for at least three days per week is advantageous, although flexible working patterns can be accommodated.
