Current opening! Secondary Supply Cover Supervisor – Norwich

Looking for a role that fits around your lifestyle while allowing you to make a real difference in local schools? We are seeking confident, adaptable and motivated Cover Supervisors to support a wide range of secondary schools across Norwich and the surrounding areas. With increasing demand from schools, we have opportunities available throughout the academic year on a flexible, day-to-day basis, giving you the freedom to choose when and where you work. No two days are the same as a Cover Supervisor. One day you could be supporting a Year 7 science lesson, the next supervising a GCSE history class or covering PE with enthusiastic Year 10 students. You’ll play a key role in ensuring learning continues smoothly during teacher absences, supervising classes, maintaining a positive learning environment, and helping students remain focused and engaged with the work set. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain valuable experience within education. Whether you are a recent graduate considering a future in teaching, an experienced education professional looking for greater flexibility, a teaching assistant ready for the next step, or someone with transferable skills from another industry, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your confidence and experience within secondary schools. Working as a Cover Supervisor provides a unique insight into school life and allows you to build relationships with a variety of schools across Norwich. Many of our Cover Supervisors use the role as a stepping stone into teacher training, learning support roles, pastoral positions and long-term school-based employment. By working in different settings, you’ll expand your professional network, develop valuable classroom management skills, and gain exposure to a range of teaching styles, subjects and school environments. We’re looking for individuals who can remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively with students and staff, and quickly adapt to new situations. A positive attitude, reliability and the confidence to lead a classroom are essential. Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not always necessary, as full support and guidance will be provided. In return, you’ll benefit from flexible working opportunities that fit around your commitments, competitive rates of pay, regular work in local schools, and ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant who understands the Norwich secondary school market. Whether you’re looking for one day a week or full-time availability, we can help find opportunities that suit your needs. If you’re looking for a varied, rewarding role where you can gain valuable experience, expand your professional network, and potentially open doors to future career opportunities within education, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and join a growing team of Cover Supervisors supporting secondary schools across Norwich.

This role is perfectly suited to graduates considering a future career in teaching, experienced teaching assistants looking to broaden their classroom experience, youth workers, sports coaches, instructors, or professionals from other sectors who have transferable leadership and people-management skills.
