New opportunity! SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Primary – Swaffham
4myschools are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a variety of primary schools in Swaffham and the surrounding areas on a flexible daily supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced education professionals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) while enjoying the flexibility and variety that supply work offers. As an SEN HLTA, you will play a crucial role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential within inclusive primary school environments. Working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, you will provide high-quality support for pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, learning difficulties and sensory needs. You will be confident leading small group sessions, delivering targeted interventions, supporting one-to-one learning programmes and, where required, covering classes using pre-planned lessons. Working closely with teachers, SENDCOs and wider school staff, you will help implement individual support strategies, adapt learning activities and contribute towards creating a positive, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will be expected to monitor pupil progress, provide feedback to teaching staff and encourage pupils to develop both academically and socially. Every school day will bring new opportunities to make a genuine difference to children’s educational experiences, helping to build confidence, independence and resilience. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building positive relationships with pupils and who have the patience, understanding and adaptability required to support children with diverse educational needs. Daily supply work offers the flexibility to choose assignments that fit around your lifestyle while gaining experience across a variety of supportive primary school settings throughout Swaffham.
