New opening! SEN Learning Support Assistant Primary – Diss
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential? At 4myschools, we are recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Diss area. We have both daily supply and long-term placements available, offering flexibility for those seeking varied work alongside opportunities for more consistent school-based roles. This rewarding position involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, sensory needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially. Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals, you will provide classroom-based support, deliver targeted interventions, and offer individualised assistance to pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis. You may support children with communication and interaction needs, implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), assist with emotional regulation, encourage positive behaviour, and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs. No two days are the same, and your contribution will have a direct impact on a child’s educational journey and overall wellbeing. The schools we work with pride themselves on creating inclusive environments where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to succeed. Whether you are working in Reception, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, you will become an integral part of the team, helping to build positive relationships and supporting pupils to develop independence, resilience and a love of learning. One of the major benefits of supply work is the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of primary settings while maintaining flexibility around your lifestyle and commitments. Supply roles allow you to broaden your SEN experience, develop your professional skills, build relationships with local schools, and often lead to long-term or permanent opportunities. For those looking to establish a career in education, psychology, therapy, social care or teaching, SEN support roles provide invaluable hands-on experience.
- Contract duration: Supply Teacher, Temporary (Short Term), Temporary (Long Term)
- Contract type: FULL_TIME, PART_TIME – Hours: 08:30-3.:30
- Age groups: Primary School
