New opening! Year 3/4 Teacher – Sudbury

This is a mainstream primary school supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, with a strong focus on inclusion and emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress. The school promotes a consistent, structured approach to learning, helping pupils feel safe, understood and ready to engage. Staff work closely together to support children with additional needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health needs. The Year 3/4 class benefits from clear routines, positive relationships and a balanced curriculum delivered over the full academic year.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a committed and thoughtful teacher who is confident teaching a mixed Year 3/4 class on a full‑time basis. They will have experience supporting pupils with SEMH and SEND needs and be able to adapt teaching strategies to support emotional regulation, engagement and progress. A calm, consistent approach to behaviour and strong classroom organisation will be key. The successful teacher will value teamwork and communicate effectively with support staff to meet a range of learning needs.

Requirements for this role

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required. 
Experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential. 
Previous exposure to supporting SEND within a mainstream classroom is expected. 
The ability to commit to the full academic year is required to ensure continuity for pupils.
