At 4myschools, we are currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a highly regarded and successful secondary school in Hertfordshire for an ASAP start. As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available depending on experience), encouraging students to develop confidence, collaboration, and performance skills. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities, including pupils with SEND, ensuring all learners can access and thrive within the curriculum. You will assess and track student progress, maintain strong classroom behaviour, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities such as drama clubs, productions, and performances. This role offers the chance to be part of a collaborative and supportive department that values creativity and innovation in teaching.

About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be proactive and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Drama specialist with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK secondary teaching experience. You will have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for performing arts, with the ability to inspire students of all abilities. Applicants must hold a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (or C) in Maths and English (or equivalent). Experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong behaviour management, and a proactive, adaptable approach to teaching. You must be available for an immediate start and able to reliably commute to the school, with access to your own transport preferred. This is a full-time, ongoing role with potential for extension based on performance and school needs.
