4myschools are delighted to be working with a highly regarded, Outstanding secondary school in Ware to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a part-time position starting in September through to October half term. This welcoming and inclusive school is well-known for its strong academic outcomes, supportive leadership team, and commitment to fostering a love of learning across all abilities. The successful candidate will join a dynamic English department, delivering engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning and marking in line with the national curriculum, and contributing positively to the wider school community. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupils of varying abilities including those with additional needs, and encouraging excellent behaviour and classroom engagement.

• Contract duration: Temporary (Long Term)
• Contract type: PART_TIME – Hours: 8:30 to 3:30
• Age groups: Secondary School

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and capable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher who holds qualified teacher status (QTS) or has significant subject experience at secondary level. You will have a strong understanding of the English curriculum and be confident delivering lessons that inspire and challenge students, including those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English, possess excellent classroom management skills, and demonstrate a passion for education. You must be available to work 4 days per week from September until October half term and have reliable access to transport to travel to the Ware area. Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is highly desirable, alongside a flexible, positive and proactive approach to teaching.
