New opportunity! Part Time SEN Teacher – Stevenage
4myschools are pleased to be supporting a highly respected specialist provision in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time SEN Teacher to join their team from 9th October on a maternity cover basis for a minimum of two terms. This welcoming and well-resourced setting supports pupils with physical and neurological impairments, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where learners are encouraged to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be working Monday to Thursday (4 days per week), 8:30am–3:30pm, delivering engaging and tailored lessons across KS1 and KS2 levels. You will play a vital role in planning and delivering differentiated lessons, working closely with experienced support staff and therapists, and adapting teaching strategies to meet a wide range of complex needs. This role would particularly suit a primary-trained teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and keen to work within a specialist SEN setting, making a genuine impact on pupils’ academic and personal development.

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate should be committed and comfortable working with pupils in a SEN School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred) with experience teaching at KS1 and KS2 level, and ideally some exposure to SEN environments, particularly supporting pupils with physical and neurological needs. You will hold a minimum of Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English, demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, and have the ability to adapt lessons creatively to meet individual learning plans. A patient, empathetic and flexible approach is essential, alongside excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff and external professionals. You must be available to commit to the role from 9th October for at least two terms, and due to the nature of the setting and location, access to reliable transport is highly desirable.
