4myschools are delighted to be working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Bishops Stortford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher for a part-time position (2 days per week). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, assessing and tracking pupil progress, and adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with special educational needs. You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider staff to ensure a consistent and enriching classroom experience, maintain effective classroom management, and contribute to the school’s ethos of respect, curiosity and achievement. This role is term-time only, working 8:30am–3:30pm on your designated days, with planning and marking responsibilities shared proportionately.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are seeking a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3, who has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate pupils. You will hold a minimum of Grade 4 (or C) in GCSE Maths and English and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. As the role is part-time and based in Bishops Stortford, access to your own transport is highly advantageous to ensure consistent attendance. This booking is expected to run for an ongoing period, offering stability and the opportunity to build strong relationships within the school community.
