Are you a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Assistant looking to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently recruiting for both daily supply and long-term opportunities, offering flexibility alongside the chance to build meaningful relationships within the school community. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the class teacher and senior leadership team to deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils. You will assist in implementing tailored learning and care programmes, particularly for students with SEND and those with English as an Additional Language (EAL). Your responsibilities will include supporting classroom activities across the curriculum, helping to manage behaviour effectively, carrying out basic assessments, and delivering focused speech and language interventions where required. You will play an essential role in ensuring pupils can access learning fully, adapting resources and approaches to meet their individual needs, while contributing positively to the smooth running of the classroom.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEND support role, with a good understanding of how to support pupils with additional needs. A minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English is essential. You will be patient, proactive, and confident in supporting both academic and emotional development. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff are key, as well as a flexible approach to working across both daily supply and longer-term assignments. Candidates should be available Monday to Friday during term time, between 8:30am and 3:30pm, and have access to reliable transport to travel to schools in the Great Yarmouth area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking either flexible day-to-day work or a more consistent long-term placement within a supportive SEND environment.
