Immediate opportunity! KS1 Teacher – Bungay

This role involves working across a selection of primary schools in the Bungay area, supporting Key Stage 1 classes on a supply basis. The schools provide structured and welcoming environments where routines are established, allowing visiting teachers to step in smoothly and maintain continuity for pupils. You will be joining classrooms with clear expectations around behaviour and learning, making it easier to focus on delivering engaging lessons. This is a flexible position, offering a mix of short-term cover with the possibility of returning to familiar settings.

• Contract duration: Ongoing
• Contract type: PART_TIME – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
• Age groups: Key Stage 1

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching across Key Stage 1, with the ability to quickly adapt to different school settings and expectations. A calm and consistent approach to behaviour management will help maintain a positive learning environment throughout the day. You should be comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons as well as thinking on your feet when needed. Building rapport with pupils and staff quickly is key to making a positive impact in this flexible supply role.

Essential requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is expected for this position. 
Flexibility to accept short-notice bookings is beneficial. 
Experience working within KS1 settings is highly desirable.
