This primary school provides a nurturing and well-organised environment where consistency and positive relationships underpin daily learning. The Key Stage 1 setting is structured to support early development, with a focus on building confidence, independence and strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. As a flexible supply teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity across Year 1 and Year 2 classes, stepping in to ensure lessons run smoothly. Staff work closely together and value clear communication, making it easier for visiting teachers to integrate into the school day.

• Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 08:15-3:15pm
• Age groups: Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful applicant will be confident working with younger pupils and able to quickly establish routines that support engagement and behaviour. A flexible approach is essential, as the role may involve moving between classes or adapting to different teaching plans at short notice. You should be comfortable delivering pre-prepared lessons while keeping pupils motivated and focused. Strong interpersonal skills will help you build rapport with both children and staff in a short period of time.

Essential requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Recent experience within a Key Stage 1 classroom is preferred. 
Able to adapt teaching style to suit varying learning needs across Year 1 and Year 2. 
Confident managing classroom expectations independently. 
Available to work on a flexible, part-time basis during term time.
