New opening! Cover Supervisor – Wellingborough
We are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Wellingborough. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience within a classroom setting, tutoring background, or a strong academic foundation and a desire to gain hands‑on school experience before pursuing a teaching career. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups. While schools will try to match you with your subject specialism wherever possible, there will be times when you are required to provide general cover. Your ability to adapt to different classrooms, follow structured lesson plans, and maintain continuity of learning is essential.

About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be proactive and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
Strong behaviour management is a key part of this role. You will need to be confident, composed, and able to set clear expectations to ensure students remain engaged and productive. Building rapport quickly and maintaining a positive learning environment will help you succeed, especially when moving between different classes and subjects. This role is particularly suited to candidates who either have relevant experience working with young people or hold a degree and are looking to gain school-based experience before progressing into teacher training. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop classroom management skills, understand school routines, and build confidence leading groups of students.
