Immediate opportunity! KS2 teacher – Newmarket

This opportunity involves working across a selection of primary schools in Newmarket, Suffolk, providing Key Stage 2 cover on a daily supply basis. Schools in the area vary in size and character but commonly offer structured classrooms where routines are well established and expectations are clear. As a visiting teacher, you will take responsibility for maintaining continuity of learning, delivering pre-set work and supporting pupils to stay focused throughout the day. The role offers consistent variety, while also allowing opportunities to return to familiar settings.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching within Key Stage 2 and comfortable stepping into different classroom environments at short notice. You should be organised, adaptable, and able to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff. A steady and consistent teaching style will help maintain behaviour and engagement across a range of abilities. This role will suit someone who values flexibility and can bring a positive, reliable presence to each placement.

Requirements for this role

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status is preferred. 
Previous experience teaching KS2 within UK primary schools is expected. 
A flexible approach to travel across Newmarket and surrounding areas is required.
