Immediate opportunity! KS2 Teacher – Northampton
4myschools are delighted to be supporting a welcoming primary school in Northampton with the appointment of a committed Upper Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join their school from September 2026 on a part-time basis, working two to three days per week. This is a lovely school with a warm, inclusive ethos where children are encouraged to be confident, curious learners and staff are genuinely valued and supported. The successful teacher will take responsibility for their own class within Upper KS2, delivering high-quality teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum, planning engaging and purposeful lessons, assessing progress effectively and contributing positively to the wider life of the school. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistency across the phase, support pupils of mixed abilities, and create a calm, structured and inspiring classroom environment that helps every child thrive both academically and socially.

About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be motivated and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will hold QTS and be confident in planning, delivering and assessing the Upper KS2 curriculum independently. Experienced teachers are particularly encouraged to apply, however Early Career Teachers with strong placement experience, good curriculum knowledge and a reflective approach to practice will also be considered and supported. You will be available to work two to three days per week from September 2026 on an ongoing basis, be organised and reliable, and have a genuine passion for supporting children in the later stages of primary education as they prepare for transition to secondary school. A positive attitude, strong behaviour management and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, staff and parents are essential for success in this role.
