Job start date: 01/09/2026 | Pay: ££90 - ££97 Per DAY | School type: Primary School
Current opening! Level 2 Nursery Practitioner – Norwich
4myschools is pleased to be supporting a number of welcoming and child‑centred local primary schools with on‑site Nursery settings, who are seeking qualified Level 2 Nursery Practitioners to work on a daily supply basis from September. These nurturing early years environments place a strong emphasis on play‑based learning, communication development and supporting children’s early social and emotional needs within a safe and stimulating setting. As a supply Nursery Practitioner, you will support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working alongside teachers and Early Years staff to create engaging learning experiences, support children’s routines, and promote positive behaviour and independence. Responsibilities will include supporting small groups and individual children, assisting with observations and learning activities, helping to maintain a safe and well‑organised learning environment, and providing consistent care throughout the nursery day. This role offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to work anywhere from 1 to 5 days per week, term time only, making it ideal for practitioners seeking work that fits around other commitments while continuing to do what they love in early years education.
- Contract duration: Ongoing
- Contract type: TEMPORARY, PART_TIME, FULL_TIME – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
- Age groups: Primary School
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification (essential) and have previous experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting, ideally within a primary school environment. You will have a warm, caring and proactive approach, with a sound understanding of child development and the EYFS framework. Paediatric First Aid is desirable but not essential, and support can be offered where needed. Applicants must be available for daily supply from September, with the flexibility to choose 1–5 days per week, depending on availability and preference. Due to the location of some schools, access to your own transport is desirable. A strong commitment to safeguarding, reliability, and the ability to adapt quickly to different nursery settings are key to success in this role. This opportunity is well suited to experienced Nursery Practitioners, those returning to early years work, or individuals seeking flexible, term‑time employment within supportive primary school environments.
