Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work or a long-term opportunity this September? At 4myschools, we are working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive schools across the Great Yarmouth area, all committed to providing a strong early years foundation within a warm, engaging, and child-centred environment. We are currently recruiting EYFS Teaching Assistants to support within Nursery and Reception classes on both a daily supply and long-term basis, offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to secure consistent placements. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of young children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will help deliver engaging play-based learning activities, support children in line with their identified needs, and contribute to a safe, stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive. Your responsibilities will include supporting small groups and individuals, particularly those with additional or identified learning needs, helping to develop early communication, social, and motor skills. You will also assist with classroom organisation, resource preparation, and promoting positive behaviour, ensuring children feel supported, encouraged, and confident in their learning. Adaptability is key, as you will work across a variety of settings, responding to different classroom dynamics and pupil needs.

• Contract type: FULL_TIME, PART_TIME, TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an EYFS setting, with a strong understanding of early years development and a passion for supporting young learners. Experience working with Nursery and Reception-aged children, including those with additional needs, is highly desirable. You will be patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with both children and staff, while demonstrating resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach, good communication skills, and the ability to adapt your support style to suit individual children is essential. A minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English is required. Candidates must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm during term time, and have access to reliable transport to travel to schools within the Great Yarmouth area. Opportunities are available on both a flexible daily supply basis and in longer-term roles, depending on your availability and preference.
