Following the appointment of 4myschools as a preferred supply partner, we are looking to build our cohort of experienced and dedicated Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurses, Early Years Practitioners and Early Years Educators for regular, pre-booked supply opportunities starting in September. This welcoming and inclusive school is situated in a community-focused setting, with a strong commitment to providing children with an engaging and nurturing early years experience. The provision offers a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning through play-based and structured activities. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child is supported academically, socially and emotionally, creating a positive and rewarding place to work. As a supply Early Years Practitioner, you will support children within Nursery and Reception classrooms, delivering engaging learning activities, encouraging early development and helping to create a safe, caring and inclusive environment. Duties may include supporting phonics, communication and language development, facilitating indoor and outdoor learning, observing children’s progress, promoting positive behaviour and working closely alongside class teachers and the wider school team. Previous experience supporting children with SEND would be highly beneficial. The work is offered on a flexible supply basis with assignments available from 2 to 5 days per week. Unlike many supply opportunities, these bookings are often arranged well in advance, making them ideal for individuals seeking flexibility around family commitments, childcare arrangements, studies or other personal responsibilities. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time only.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are keen to hear from experienced Nursery Nurses, Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Educators and Teaching Assistants with a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare. Applicants should have previous experience working within nursery, preschool, school nursery or Reception settings and possess a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) would be advantageous. Candidates must hold a minimum Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths, have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach. Due to the location and limited public transport links within the surrounding area, access to a car and a full driving licence is considered essential. Candidates should be available to work between 2 and 5 days per week from September onwards.
