Current opening! Primary Year 5 Teacher – Upwell

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a friendly primary school near Upwell, Wisbech for the autumn term, working three days a week from September. The ideal working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, although there is some flexibility for the right candidate. We are seeking someone who can bring strong classroom practice, positivity and a passion for supporting upper‑KS2 learners, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining excellent progress during this period of part‑time cover. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or someone seeking a high‑quality part‑time role within a supportive, community‑focused school. The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate for this Year 5 role is someone who brings strong upper‑KS2 teaching expertise, confidence and calm to the classroom, even within a three‑day‑a‑week timetable. They are organised, adaptable and able to maintain continuity of learning across the autumn term, working closely with the class team to ensure pupils stay on track academically and feel supported pastorally. They have a solid understanding of the Year 5 curriculum, can deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons, and are skilled at building positive relationships quickly with pupils. They communicate clearly, collaborate well with colleagues, and can slot smoothly into an established routine while still bringing energy and fresh ideas.
