New opportunity! School Admin/Learning Support – Northampton

4myschools are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Northampton to recruit an Office Administrator / Support Assistant for a term‑time only position, working 37 hours per week across 39 weeks per year. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines school office administration with direct pupil support, placing the successful candidate at the heart of the school’s daily operations and wellbeing provision. Acting as the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors and professionals, you will support the smooth running of the school while contributing positively to a calm, organised and nurturing learning environment. The role involves managing reception duties, calls and emails, maintaining accurate pupil records, arranging transport, administering free school meals and supporting attendance processes including registers, first‑day calling and reporting. Alongside administrative responsibilities, the role includes supporting pupils directly within the school, working closely with teaching and pastoral teams to help pupils regulate, engage and feel safe. Many pupils have additional needs and may present with challenging behaviour, therefore a strong understanding that behaviour is a form of communication is essential. You will also support wider school operations, including preparing correspondence, processing orders, stock control and working collaboratively with senior leaders to support safeguarding, organisation and daily school life.
