You will plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and assess and monitor student progress where required. As part of your day-to-day duties, you will create a safe and stimulating learning environment, adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners (including those with Special Educational Needs), and collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ education while gaining valuable experience within a supportive secondary school setting.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and enthusiastic Science specialist or experienced supply teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for education. You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience within a UK secondary school environment. A minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English is essential. Experience working with students with additional needs, including SEN, will be highly beneficial, alongside strong classroom management skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff. You must be available Monday to Friday during term time and demonstrate flexibility and reliability. Due to the location, access to your own transport or reliable travel arrangements is desirable. This booking is expected to be ongoing, offering consistency and the potential for longer-term opportunities.
