New vacancy! SEN Primary Teaching Assistant – Norwich
At 4myschools, we are delighted to be working with a welcoming and specialist SEN primary school in the Norwich area that provides a calm, structured and highly nurturing environment for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full‑time basis, five days per week, supporting children across the primary age range until 17th July 2026. The school places a strong emphasis on individualised learning, communication support and emotional regulation, with thoughtfully designed classrooms, clear routines and a strong multidisciplinary approach. This is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a dedicated staff team who work collaboratively to help every child feel safe, understood and able to thrive both academically and socially. In this role, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN professionals to support pupils with ASD throughout the school day, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Your responsibilities will include implementing personalised learning and behaviour support plans, using visual timetables and communication tools, supporting sensory regulation, and encouraging positive engagement with the curriculum. You will help pupils develop independence, social skills and confidence, provide support during transitions and unstructured times, and contribute to creating a consistent, inclusive and structured learning environment. Building trusting relationships with pupils and working closely with families and colleagues will be a key part of the role.
- Contract duration: Flexible: daily and long-term supply opportunities
- Contract type: Long Term – Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm
- Age groups: Key Stage 2
- Application Close Date: 25/12/2026
