New opening! SEN Teaching Assistant Secondary – Cromer
4myschools is seeking caring, resilient and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to support secondary-aged pupils within a well-established specialist educational setting in the Cromer area. We are recruiting for a range of opportunities including daily supply, part-time and full-time long-term positions, offering flexibility for those seeking varied work as well as stability for candidates looking to become part of a dedicated staff team. This specialist setting provides a highly supportive and inclusive learning environment for young people with a range of complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The school is committed to developing each pupil’s confidence, independence and life skills, ensuring they are fully supported both academically and personally. Staff work collaboratively to create meaningful learning experiences tailored to individual needs, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while celebrating every achievement, no matter how small. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils aged approximately 11 to 19 years old both inside and outside the classroom. Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff, you will help deliver personalised learning activities that enable pupils to access the curriculum and engage positively with their education. You may provide one-to-one support, work with small groups, assist with vocational and practical learning activities, and help young people develop communication, social and emotional skills. Many pupils may have autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory needs, physical disabilities or associated social, emotional and mental health needs. A key aspect of this role involves fostering positive relationships and promoting independence wherever possible. You will support pupils with their learning programmes, encourage participation in lessons and enrichment activities, adapt resources to meet individual requirements and contribute to maintaining a safe, structured and nurturing environment. Depending on individual pupil needs, some responsibilities may include supporting personal care, mobility needs and therapeutic interventions as directed by the wider school team. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping young people achieve outcomes that extend beyond the classroom. Every day presents new challenges and successes as you support pupils in developing the skills, confidence and resilience needed for future education, employment and independent living.

About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and confident working with pupils in a SEN School setting.
We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

Candidates must possess a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Maths.
