A welcoming primary school in Bishop’s Stortford is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team. This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and would suit someone who enjoys supporting young learners both within the classroom and through targeted SEN support. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping children develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning. you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons while helping pupils to access learning effectively. The role will involve working with children across the classroom, as well as providing additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will help to build children’s confidence, encourage participation and contribute to a positive learning environment.

• Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8.00-4.00
• Age groups: Key Stage 1

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

You will need to be patient, caring and passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development. Previous experience working within a primary school or supporting children with SEN would be advantageous. You should be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents, whilst remaining calm, adaptable and proactive throughout the school day. Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to inclusion are essential.
