Immediate opportunity! Year 3 Teacher – Slough

4myschools are delighted to be working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking primary school to recruit a committed Year 3 Teacher for a full‑time role starting in September. This inclusive and community‑focused setting places a strong emphasis on nurturing the whole child, high expectations for learning, and creating a safe, positive environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The school benefits from a supportive senior leadership team, well‑established routines, and a collaborative staff culture where professional development is valued and staff wellbeing is prioritised. The successful Year 3 Teacher will take full responsibility for planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons aligned to the national curriculum, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs. You will assess and track pupil progress effectively, use formative assessment to inform next steps, and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress. There is a strong focus on inclusive practice, so confidence in differentiating learning and supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND, is highly valued. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SEN support staff and colleagues across the phase, contribute positively to staff meetings and CPD, and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers. Behaviour is managed through consistent, positive approaches, allowing learning to remain purposeful and calm.

  • Contract duration: Permanent
  • Contract type: FULL_TIME – Hours: 8:30 to 3:30
  • Age groups: Year 3

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with QTS, with previous experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 or strong curriculum knowledge at this level. Early career teachers with relevant placement experience and a secure understanding of lower KS2 expectations are also encouraged to apply. Experience supporting pupils with SEND or adapting learning to meet diverse needs will be an advantage. Due to the school’s location, access to reliable transport is desirable.
