This one-form entry primary school provides a focused and close-knit setting where staff work collaboratively to support pupils across Key Stage 2. The Year 5 class is part of a structured and consistent approach to teaching, with clear planning already in place to follow. About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful teacher will be confident leading a full Year 5 class and able to establish clear routines from the outset. Strong behaviour management is essential, along with the ability to maintain consistency while building positive relationships with pupils. You should be comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons, using your professional judgement to adjust content to suit the class. A steady, organised approach will help you settle into the role quickly and maintain continuity for pupils during the maternity cover period.
