New opening! Year 2 Teacher – Braintree

This role is based in a welcoming and well-organised primary school that places a strong focus on creating a calm and purposeful learning environment. Staff work collaboratively across year groups, with shared planning supporting consistency across the KS1 curriculum. The school promotes a balanced approach to learning, combining structured teaching with opportunities for creativity and exploration. As a Year 2 class teacher, you will play an active role in the daily classroom routine and contribute to maintaining a supportive and engaging atmosphere for pupils.

  • Contract duration: Temporary (Long Term)
  • Contract type: FULL_TIME – Hours: 08:15-3:15pm
  • Age groups: Year 2

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be a thoughtful and adaptable teacher who can confidently deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 framework. You will be able to build positive relationships with pupils quickly, encouraging confidence and participation in learning. A strong understanding of Year 2 expectations, including preparation for end-of-key-stage assessments, will support your effectiveness in the role. You will also be comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues and responding to the needs of the class as they arise.

What you need to start

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is preferred. 
The ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet a range of learning needs is important. 
Confidence in assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly is desirable.
