This role is based within a primary setting providing dedicated PPA cover across Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. The school environment is typically structured yet welcoming, with an emphasis on consistency for younger learners. As a full‑time PPA teacher, you will move between classes to deliver pre‑planned lessons, ensuring pupils remain engaged and learning continues smoothly in the absence of their usual class teacher. Staff teams are generally collaborative, supporting each other to maintain a positive and organised school day.

• Contract duration: Temporary (Long Term)
• Contract type: FULL_TIME – Hours: 08:15-3:15pm
• Age groups: EYFS, Key Stage 1

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be confident working across both EYFS and KS1, adapting their approach to suit different age groups and developmental stages. A calm and flexible attitude is important, as the role involves transitioning between classes and responding to varying classroom needs. Strong behaviour management and the ability to quickly establish rapport with pupils will be key. You should be comfortable delivering planned activities while maintaining a consistent and supportive learning environment.

Requirements for this role

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Experience teaching within EYFS and KS1 is preferred. 
Ability to confidently deliver pre‑planned lessons across different classes is important. 
Strong organisational skills are beneficial due to the varied timetable. 
Full‑time availability from the start of the academic year is required.
