This is a welcoming primary school with a clear focus on structure, routine and positive behaviour across the day. Classrooms are organised and purposeful, enabling pupils in Key Stage 2 to settle quickly and engage in their learning with confidence. Staff work collaboratively to maintain consistent expectations and support pupils to take ownership of their progress. The Year 5 class follows a broad KS2 curriculum, with an emphasis on independence, resilience and steady academic development.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful teacher will be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum and able to create a calm, focused learning environment. They will demonstrate a consistent approach to behaviour management and be comfortable reinforcing routines that support learning. A practical, organised approach to planning and assessment will help ensure lessons are purposeful and progress is clear. This role would suit someone adaptable and committed to maintaining continuity for pupils in a longer-term position.

What you need to start

Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Experience teaching in upper Key Stage 2 is preferred.
