This is a primary school environment where early learning is shaped through structure, consistency and a calm classroom approach. The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, ensuring pupils with additional needs are supported to engage positively with learning from the start of their education. Staff work collaboratively throughout the day, with teaching assistants playing an active role in lessons, routines and transitions. Support is embedded into everyday classroom practice rather than separated from it, allowing pupils to feel secure and understood.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive and confident working closely with young children who require additional support. They will be able to adapt their approach to suit individual learning needs and respond calmly to varying behaviours and communication styles. A nurturing mindset and a willingness to work as part of a wider classroom team are essential. Someone who takes pride in helping pupils build confidence and independence will thrive in this role. Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary or early years setting would be beneficial. An understanding of early childhood development and inclusive learning strategies would support success in the role.
