4myschools is working closely with a welcoming, village primary school in a close‑knit rural community to appoint a regular, pre‑booked Supply Learning Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone seeking consistency and the chance to truly become part of a school team, while still enjoying the flexibility and support that supply work offers. Staff work collaboratively to create a calm, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally. In this role, you will provide dedicated 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within the primary setting. Your responsibilities will include supporting learning across the curriculum, adapting activities to meet individual needs, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping pupils to regulate emotions and remain engaged throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow individual support plans, contribute to observations, and ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are always prioritised. Consistency is key in this role, and the successful candidate will become a familiar, trusted adult for the child they support.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and proactive Learning Support Assistant with previous experience supporting children with SEND, either within a school or through transferable roles such as care, youth work, mentoring, healthcare or family support. Applicants must hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) and demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and child‑centred practice. Experience with additional needs such as ASD, communication needs or emotional regulation support would be highly beneficial. Due to the school’s rural location and limited public transport, access to your own transport is essential.
