General cover teachers play an important role in keeping learning consistent when permanent staff are unavailable. The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

This role would suit a flexible and confident general cover teacher who is comfortable working across different year groups. You will be able to adapt quickly to new classrooms, follow set work and maintain a calm, purposeful atmosphere. A practical and positive approach is important, particularly when building rapport with pupils you may not have met before. Teachers who enjoy variety and can respond well to different school needs will do well in this role.
