At 4myschools, we’re working closely with a trust of primary schools in North West Suffolk to build a reliable, high-quality pool of HLTAs ready for the new academic year. These schools are looking for confident, experienced support staff who can step in seamlessly, whether that’s leading learning, supporting class teachers, or keeping lessons on track when needed. If you enjoy the variety that supply work offers but still want regular opportunities within a well-organised network of schools, this is a great opportunity to get involved. The demand across the trust is varied and consistent, so we’re looking to connect with HLTAs who are comfortable working across different year groups and school environments. Cover will include delivering pre-planned lessons, leading targeted interventions, supporting whole class learning, and stepping up to cover lessons during teacher absence. There’s also scope to support pupils with additional needs, meaning this role suits individuals who can confidently adapt their approach to meet a range of learning styles and abilities. You’ll be joining schools that value strong teamwork, clear communication and a calm, positive approach to learning, where your contribution will genuinely make a difference to day-to-day classroom continuity. Assignments are available from 1 to 5 days per week, giving you full control over how often you work. Working hours are typically 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. This is an ongoing opportunity for the full academic year, offering a strong balance between flexibility and consistency, with the chance to build relationships across a number of schools within the trust.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

Ideal Candidate We are keen to hear from qualified HLTAs or highly experienced Teaching Assistants who are confident leading learning within a primary school setting. A recognised HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent) is desirable, although candidates with significant classroom experience and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum will also be considered. A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths is essential. You will be adaptable, reliable and confident working across different schools, with the ability to build strong relationships quickly and manage a classroom effectively when required. Experience supporting across multiple key stages or working with pupils with additional needs is beneficial. Due to travel between schools within the trust, access to your own transport is highly desirable. Candidates should be available for flexible working from 1 to 5 days per week on an ongoing basis throughout the academic year.
