Immediate opportunity! Primary Teacher – Ipswich

We are currently seeking a committed and adaptable Primary Supply Teacher to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Ipswich and the surrounding Suffolk area. This role offers a mix of day-to-day supply as well as the opportunity for longer-term placements, providing excellent flexibility to suit your availability and preferences. You will be working across a variety of primary schools, each offering a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to engage positively with their learning. Schools in the area vary in size and structure, but all maintain a focus on creating a safe and structured setting for both staff and children. As a supply teacher, you will step into established classrooms, following existing plans and maintaining continuity for pupils throughout the school day. Staff teams are typically collaborative, making it easier for temporary teachers to settle in quickly. This is a flexible opportunity suitable for teachers looking to work on a daily basis or secure longer-term assignments. Deliver pre-prepared lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 Provide reliable classroom cover to maintain learning momentum Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines Manage behaviour in line with school policies Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be confident working across different primary year groups and able to adapt their teaching approach depending on the classroom environment. You will be organised, approachable, and capable of creating a calm and productive learning atmosphere. Strong classroom management skills are important, along with the ability to follow lesson plans effectively. A positive attitude and willingness to support pupils’ learning in a variety of school settings will be key to success in this role.

Requirements for this role

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred. 
Previous experience working within UK primary schools. 
Ability to travel to schools within Ipswich and surrounding areas is beneficial.
