New opportunity! SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – Coastal Specialist Setting – Cromer
4myschools are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and highly supportive specialist educational setting located in a beautiful rural coastal area of North Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. The school provides a nurturing, therapeutic and highly personalised learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally. Due to the rural location, the setting benefits from extensive outdoor spaces and a calm environment that supports the wellbeing and development of its learners. This full-time role is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term time only, with an immediate start and the opportunity to transition from a temporary to a permanent position for the right candidate. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists and other support professionals to help pupils access learning and achieve positive outcomes. Duties will include providing one-to-one and small group support, assisting with personalised learning activities, promoting communication and social development, supporting emotional regulation strategies, encouraging independence, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Some pupils may require support with personal care, sensory needs, behavioural regulation and daily routines, so a patient, adaptable and caring approach is essential.
- Contract duration: Temp-to-Perm, Temporary (Long Term)
- Contract type: FULL_TIME – Hours: 08:30-3.:30
- Age groups: Primary and Secondary School
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate should be proactive and confident working with pupils in a SEN School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
We are keen to hear from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants as well as individuals looking to take their first step into specialist education.
