Current opening! SEND Support Staff – Norwich

SEND Learning Support Assistant – Supporting Children with Moderate Learning Difficulties, Autism & SEMH Needs Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? At 4myschools, we are recruiting a dedicated and nurturing SEND Learning Support Assistant to work within a specialist educational setting supporting children and young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for individuals who have previous SEND experience or those with relevant knowledge of additional needs and a genuine desire to support pupils to achieve their full potential. In this role, you will work closely alongside teachers and support staff to deliver individualised support both within the classroom and through small-group interventions. You will help pupils access learning activities tailored to their individual needs, encourage positive behaviour, support emotional regulation, and promote social development throughout the school day. You may assist with literacy and numeracy activities, support communication and interaction skills, help implement EHCP targets, and adapt learning approaches to meet a variety of learning needs. Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils will be key, enabling them to develop confidence, independence, and resilience within a supportive learning environment. Every day will be different, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the educational and personal development of young people who benefit from additional support.
