We are seeking individuals for daily supply, part-time and full-time long-term opportunities, offering flexibility for those seeking varied work as well as stability for candidates looking for a longer-term position. The setting provides specialist education for pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs and disabilities. It offers a nurturing, inclusive and highly supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills alongside their academic learning. Your responsibilities will include working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored learning activities, supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, assisting with communication and social development, and helping pupils access the curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs. You may support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs, sensory needs and social, emotional and mental health needs. The role will involve adapting resources, promoting positive behaviour, encouraging independence and supporting pupils with personal development targets. Some pupils may require assistance with personal care, mobility or therapeutic activities as part of their daily routine. Successful candidates will be patient, empathetic and able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils while maintaining high expectations and promoting a safe learning environment. Every day can be different within this specialist setting, making it an incredibly rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy supporting children with diverse needs. Whether you have previous experience working within specialist education, mainstream schools, healthcare settings, care environments or support services, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.
