At 4myschools, we are proud to work in close partnership with primary schools in and around the Hadleigh area, and we are currently seeking experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistants to join our trusted team of regular, flexible support assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy building strong relationships within school communities while benefiting from the flexibility of pre‑booked work. Our support assistants provide planned cover for known absences such as staff training, courses and scheduled leave, allowing schools to maintain continuity for pupils. The role involves supporting learning across KS2, working with individuals and small groups, assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, and helping pupils stay engaged and confident in their learning. Experience or confidence in SATS preparation would be highly beneficial as that will be a focus for a large part of the academic year, particularly in supporting pupils with revision, intervention work and building exam readiness. Schools value our support staff for their consistency, adaptability and calm, positive presence in the classroom.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and capable working with pupils in a Primary Schools setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2, with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum being essential. Experience supporting SATS preparation, interventions or targeted learning is desirable. You will be reliable, professional and confident in stepping into different school settings while remaining a regular and familiar face to the schools you support. This role suits candidates who are looking for flexible, pre‑booked work during term time, typically within standard primary school hours, and who enjoy planned assignments rather than last‑minute supply. A commitment to supporting pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing is key, along with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
