Immediate opportunity! KS1 Teacher – Lowestoft

The role is based across a selection of primary schools in the Lowestoft area, offering a range of classroom settings within established and well‑organised environments. These schools typically promote a structured approach to learning, with clear routines that help pupils feel settled and ready to engage. As a KS1 supply teacher, you will step into existing classrooms to provide continuity, either for short daily cover or longer-term placements where needed. Staff teams are generally supportive, enabling visiting teachers to integrate quickly and maintain a consistent learning experience for pupils.

• Contract type: FULL_TIME, PART_TIME – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
• Age groups: Key Stage 1

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be confident working within Key Stage 1 and able to adapt their teaching approach to suit different classes and school expectations. A calm and consistent manner will help you manage behaviour effectively while keeping pupils engaged with their learning. You should be comfortable following lesson plans as well as using your initiative where appropriate, particularly in longer-term roles. This position would suit a teacher who values flexibility but can also build positive relationships within a school over time.

What you’ll need to apply

Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred. 
Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools, particularly KS1, is expected. 
Strong classroom management skills are required to support consistent routines.
