New opening! EYFS Teacher – Bury St Edmunds

This is a welcoming primary setting in Bury St Edmunds supporting early years pupils at the start of their educational journey. The school maintains a nurturing and well-organised EYFS environment where routines, play-based learning and early development are carefully balanced. Staff work closely together to ensure a consistent approach across the provision, particularly where flexible or part-time teaching arrangements are in place. The role sits within a Reception class, contributing to both structured activities and child-led learning throughout the day.

  • Contract duration: Temporary (Long Term)
  • Contract type: FULL_TIME, PART_TIME – Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
  • Age groups: EYFS

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful applicant will have a calm, patient approach and a genuine interest in supporting young children’s development across all areas of the EYFS framework. You should be confident adapting activities to suit a range of abilities and comfortable working either full-time or as part of a shared teaching arrangement. Strong communication skills are key, allowing you to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. A proactive attitude will help you support a smooth, engaging learning environment where children feel secure and motivated.

What you’ll need to apply

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Experience working within EYFS is expected. 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred. 
Ability to commit from September for at least one term is important.
