This role is based within EYFS settings across primary schools in Stowmarket and the surrounding Suffolk area, supporting classes in Nursery and Reception. The schools offer calm, structured early years environments where routines, play‑based learning, and positive relationships underpin the school day. Depending on the booking, you may be providing short‑term daily cover or stepping into a longer‑term placement where consistency and familiarity are important for young children. EYFS teams are typically collaborative, with clear planning in place and support from experienced practitioners.

• Contract type: Flexible – Hours: 8:30 – 15:30

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

This position would suit a nurturing and adaptable EYFS teacher who can quickly establish a reassuring presence in the classroom. You should be confident following existing routines, delivering early learning activities, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development. For daily supply, flexibility and the ability to settle children quickly will be key, while longer‑term placements will suit someone happy to contribute to planning, observations, and assessments. A patient, child‑centred approach is essential in both short‑ and long‑term roles.

What you’ll need to apply

Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status is required for this role. 
Recent experience working within EYFS settings is desirable. 
A secure understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding expectations is beneficial.
